A Perfect Combination is a series that explores the foods that pair perfectly with each other. This episode we look at burrata, tomatoes, peaches and basil and we make a burrata Caprese crostini plate.
1 Ball of Burrata
½ Pint of Cherry Tomatoes, Halved
1 Small Peach, Diced
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (the real stuff)
Slice the baguette on an angle. In a pan on medium heat, add olive oil and place the bread in the pan and toast both sides until golden brown. Season with a little salt and set aside.
Slice the cherry tomatoes and dice the peach.
In a shallow bowl, place the ball of burrata and slice it open, pushing out the cream inside slightly. Next, scatter the tomatoes and peaches. Season with salt. Top with basil and drizzle extra virgin olive oil, and finish with the balsamic vinegar of Modena. Fan out the crostini and it's ready to serve. This is kind of a build your own crostini plate, which is a fun way to serve food.
