I’ve been a self-proclaimed green bean casserole hater. To me it was disgusting because half of it came out of a can. And if you’ve watched my recent videos, you know that I don’t love things that come out of cans.
I’ve never had it at Thanksgiving which is a theme of this years thanksgiving recipes, but I don’t really know why, because if you really break it down, all green bean casseroles are if you’re not using a can - green beans, mushrooms, bechamel, and a crunchy top… all things that I very much love. So today I’m going to make my very first green bean mushroom casserole with my own bechamel, and onion ritz cracker crust, and a few other tweaks and I’m finally going to decide whether that hate was warranted, or have I been missing out.
