the GRILLED CHEESE I ate every other day for 2 years

This is the Fort Greene sandwich from my old food truck, Food Freaks, named after Fort Greene Brooklyn, the neighborhood my truck lived. The sandwich is special because of this cilantro sauce my brother created. Its a sauce that is good on basically everything and today we will learn to make cilantro special sauce as well as a grilled cheese with bacon, avocado, Fontinella Cheese, sourdough bread all taken to new levels with this delicious cilantro sauce.

Great recipe!

This goes really well w/chicken, beef, eggs, tacos...so versatile.

If you replace the cilantro with basil you have a 2nd great sauce, good for paninis (prosciutto & mozz) and to add to caprese salad.

Really enjoy this recipe! Can you provide some favorite alternative uses for this sauce?

I made this yesterday for my mom (a trained chef) and it was a huge success! The only thing I forgot to put the mayo in the cilantro sauce so I'll add it to today's version (yes, it was so yummy you can eat it 2 days in a row!)

Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipe!

Haven’t made the grilled cheese yet, but the sauce is sooo good. I make chicken bacon pasta salad sometimes and i feel like it would be mint on that 👌👌
