The difference between Korean Kalbi and Bulgogi
This video is sponsored by BeeF. It’s What’s For Dinner., on behalf of the Beef Checkoff. This recipe showcases the difference between two popular Korean bbq methods. The difference between bulgogi and Kalbi is that one uses Short Rib, and one uses Ribeye, both using basically the same marinade and grilled over fire. A good Asian market will have these cuts prepped for you for these methods, but if you don’t have access to one, I’m going to cover a few ways to use popular cuts to get similar results at home and how to grill them. If you want to make only bulgogi or only Flanken, just scale up the amount of the cut you want in the recipe and omit the cuts you don’t and follow the recipe the same.
Great breakdown of Bulgogi and Kalbi! I’ve always enjoyed the smoky sweetness of Kalbi, but your post gave me a deeper appreciation for how both dishes reflect Korean culinary traditions. While reading, I was reminded how cultural elements enrich all experiences—including games like 3patticrown that draw from tradition in their own way.

Great breakdown of the differences between Kalbi and Bulgogi — I’ve always wondered why the marinades and cuts vary so much. It reminds me how regional flavors can influence so many things, even outside of food. I wrote about something similar on carxstreetsmodapk, where local culture impacts game design choices too.
