This is my version of Strawberries and Whipped Cream, a romantic dessert fit for Valentines's day...or pretty much any day in the summer. In this video, I'll show you how to make fresh, homemade whipped cream and we'll take that, fresh strawberries, freeze-dried strawberries, Ferrero Rocher, and some fresh mint. This dessert makes for one stunning plate to impress a loved one. This is the valentines day dessert you need to make to seal the deal.
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ Cups of Whipping Cream
3 Tablespoons Sugar
½ Teaspoon, Vanilla Extract
1 Pint of Strawberries
¼ Freeze dried strawberries
1 Chocolate Bar
1 Blood Orange or Orange, Zested
Fresh Mint
3-4 Ferrero Rocher, Halved
DIRECTIONS
Get the cream nice a cold, along with the bowl you’ll be whipping it in. Add the cream, sugar, and vanilla extract and whipped it until it can hold on to a spoon when turned upside down.
Cut up the strawberries into differing sizes, some whole, some halves, some quartered, some diced small.
To plate, start with the bigger strawberries scattered on the plate. Then add big dollops of whipped cream in a few spots on top. Then top with the smaller pieces of strawberries. Followed by whole freeze-dried strawberries, then some Ferrero Rocher.
Then take the freeze-dried strawberries again, but this time crumbled them up in your hand and then dust on top. Then with a Microplane, grate some of the chocolate bar on top, followed by the zest of the orange or blood orange. Finish with fresh mint. Then take a minute to be proud of yourself.
